Artificial Intelligence is one of the well known and most talked about topics as of the 2020s and for the foreseeable future. This is why tens of thousands of people across the globe are looking to take advantage of this opportunity and grow businesses of their own centered around AI, many of these people being Asian Americans. The reason behind the high concentration of Asian Americans in AI is because of the high value Asian American culture puts on STEM and related fields. Many of the first Asians that immigrated to the states were employed through visas in engineering or science and many still are. This made the STEM field a reliable method of income and made related careers 

Now we fast forward to the present, where the newest addition to STEM and the world itself comes into play. Through the vast history of Asian Americans in technology they have managed to use AI as an advantage. PewResearch Center’s Survey of over 5,000 American adults found that Asian Americans have adapted to artificial intelligence incredibly well and have implemented it in their daily lives. The survey found that 7 in 10 Asians reported using artificial intelligence and half of them reported that they use it daily. In addition, roughly 60% of Asian Americans reported using AI for work. Adding to that, they are more passionate about AI in the future than other races such as Hispanics, Blacks, and Whites. 

Now that AI is admired and used significantly by the Asian American population, what happens next? With the rise of AI, there are bound to be businesses and start ups that are AI centered with many of these run by Asian Americans. Immigrants have founded or co-founded nearly two-thirds of the top AI companies in the United States. Some of the most successful companies in these fields are also run by Asian Americans. For example, Nvidia is run by the Taiwanese-American Jenses Huang. Perplexity is also run by an Indian immigrant named Aravind Srinivas. 

In conclusion, Asians and Asian Americans have a direct impact in AI and the future tech field as a whole. From Asian fathers who use AI for work and founders of billion dollar companies, AI is surely the future and Asians are a part of it too.
