New York City – November 27, 2025
This year, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade brought the usual mix of floats, Broadway showcases, and giant balloons drifting between Manhattan’s skyscrapers. But the moment that truly ignited the crowd came from an unexpected source: the breakout K-pop group Demon Hunters.
The five-member group, known for entertaining kids and teens with dance choreography and songs, made their parade debut on top of a neon-lit float styled like an arcane temple. Massive LED screens shimmered with animated spell circles while dancers dressed as mythical creatures, creating one of the parade’s most visually striking scenes.

A Historic First for K-pop Stagecraft
Even though K-pop groups have appeared in the parade before, the Demon Hunters pushed their production to a new level. Their performance of their hit “Golden” featured a synchronised routine with live vocals that soared above the cheering crowd.
Fans, some of whom camped out before dawn to secure a spot along the route, erupted into screams as the group waved from 34th Street. Many held custom lightsticks, turning patches of the parade route into glowing waves of colour, similar to a stadium concert rather than a holiday parade.
Bridging cultures through spectacle
Organisers praised Demon Hunters for bringing global energy to an event watched by millions worldwide. Their parade appearance follows a year of rising international popularity, with their latest album topping charts in the U.S., Japan, and South Korea.
For the group, the parade marked a milestone. “We grew up seeing clips of the Macy’s Parade,” leader Jisoo remarked in a backstage interview. “To be here performing is like living in a dream.”
A moment fans won’t forget
As their performance ended and the final notes of the song echoed through Herald Square, social media exploded with clips, edits, and fan reactions. Within minutes, the hashtag #DemonHuntersParade trended globally on apps TikTok and Instagram.
For longtime watchers of the parade, Demon Hunters’ appearance signalled the continuing evolution of the Thanksgiving tradition, one that celebrates not only American culture but global artistry.
And for the Demon Hunters, it was a magical moment that affirmed just how far their journey has taken them.
