Our Alumni
Our alumni are members of our former team who have moved onto college, work, and achieve other amazing accomplishments. They may no longer work with AANN, but the experiences they had, the memories they made, and the skills they gained carry with them as they venture into other endeavors. We have a variety of former-AANN members attend schools like Princeton, Duke, UCLA, and UNC-Chapel Hill, and are incredibly proud of all that they have accomplished in both their time at AANN and beyond.
Meet the Alumni:
✨Heyyoo! I'm Chloe, a junior from North Carolina. I am the CEO and Co-Founder of AANN and I oversee our marketing and arrange our interviews, the interpersonal side of things. At 5am on a given morning, you'll probably find me at the pool. I started swimming when I was 8 and haven't stopped since! I enjoy listening to opera to unwind, but I mostly just listen to overplayed arias and duets. My favorite is the Flower Duet from Lakmé. To end with a quote from the incredible Flannery O'Connor, "The truth does not change according to our ability to stomach it."

I enjoy playing videogames, building keyboards, learning about international relations, and competing on my high school's debate team. My favorite from Friedrich Nietzsche: "He who has a why to live can bear almost any how."

🎻📚Hi, David here. I am a high school junior in North Carolina, and I write for AANN. Besides work, I love to practice my viola and train calisthenics. I have played the viola, the best string instrument, for nine years; my favorite composers are Bach and Schumann, and my favorite piece is Hindemith's "Der Schwanendreher." As a student, I am inspired to research addictions and pursue a career in neuroscience and engineering. I often find refuge in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope."

💜✨Hi I’m Deya! I was originally born in Cali then moved to India for like 11 years and now I live in North Carolina 🙂 I’m a senior in high school right now (class of 2022) and I’m also the Brand Strategist for AANN. I love listening to music and binging shows and spending time with my family and friends. When I’m not busy at AANN I help at an organization called 7 cups and binge shows with my mom (probably old Friends reruns). To quote my favorite character “I'm not blah I’m a hoot!”

✨Hello! I’m Michelle, a junior from California. At AANN, I’m an assistant team leader and lead a small group with weekly writing and publishing. If I’m not writing, you’ll find me practicing the guitar or reading Agatha Christie’s mystery novels. I also listen to instrumental music— whether it be classical music, instrumental covers, blues, or rock. In my opinion, notes speak louder than lyrics. My favorites include Chopin’s Étude Op. 25, No. 11 and Kent Nishimura’s cover of “What a Wonderful World”. Finally, Helen Keller once said, “Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.”

🌺✨Hi! My name is Serena and I'm currently a senior in North Carolina. I'm a marketing assistant at AANN and in my free time, I like to read, listen to Kpop (CLC, Dreamcatcher, Blackpink, and BTS are my favorites!) and do puzzles. A 2000 piece cupcake puzzle is my record for now...For books, realistic fiction is always cool, but honestly, any genre is fine, and I don't have a favorite book at the moment.
